We pride ourselves on our partnerships with organizations who share our values and our love of folk art.

2020 is our 17th year partnering with the  International Folk Art Alliance to produce the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe.

We are committed members of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience

Friends of Folk Art, (FOFA) is a group of kindred spirits who care deeply about the Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA) and its mission. Under the auspices of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation (MNMF), FOFA serves as MOIFA’s fund-raising support group for educational programs and exhibitions. FOFA members also volunteer to put on special events and programs, the fabulous Folk Art Flea, with it’s unique Collectors’ Corner, and the World of Treasures Online Auction.

FOFA’s annual calendar includes members-only events, such as the folk art collector’s home tour, early entry to the Flea, an annual gathering, and trips to places near and far. Hands-on workshops with international and local folk artists, festive fundraising parties, and lectures by experts in the field, are some of the benefits of joining FOFA.

Whether your interest is in celebrating traditional holidays of countries around the world or gaining introduction to the global diversity of the world’s folk artists, membership in FOFA offers an inspiring immersion into international folk art and culture.

For upcoming events, programs and more information on Friends of Folk Art go to the FOFA webpage on the Foundation website.

We are proud to be one of 116 members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of Crafts and Folk Art.

We are grateful for the ongoing support of the International Folk Art Foundation, which makes so many of our exhibitions and programs possible.
